I have never even heard of this car before. It is probably because they only made 30 or so of them for Shelby club members. A $39k price tag back in 1993 probably made it too expensive for most. It had a set of 17 inch Mustang wheels which were large for that time period.
Here is a cool video showing a Ford Mustang built by Steve Saleen and Parnelli Jones. The end result is a amazing car. Looks like they put a set of Saleen wheels on the car and did their best to make it look like the original Boss 302.
Here is a cool video describing the all new 2010 Ford Mustang. It goes over all of its new features and specs. From what the video shows it looks like they have done a good job creating a nice set of Mustang wheels for the car.
Here is another Ford Mustang I saw down in Cancun, Mexico while I was on vacation. I wonder if these were made special for Mexican Mustang owners back in the day. This one has a set of chrome bullitt mustang rims. I forget if it was a Cobra or not and my picture was not close enough to tell what the badging says. I am pretty sure if that it is a 1969 Mustang though. Excuse me if I am wrong. I was walking out of a bar at the time.
Last week I was in Cancun Mexico on vacation. I left Pat O’Briens and went walking through the adjacent mall. They had a couple of cars on display including this 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Looks like its never seen salty roads in its life. It looks all original including its mustang wheels.
In 2007 the people at Ford came out with a couple new styles of Mustang wheels. For the most part though there was not that much of a drastic change except for that most of the rims produced were now going to be 18 inches. The choices in finishes were chrome, polished, silver, and black. Here are the most popular Ford Mustang rims of 2007.
For 2008 the people at Ford put out a number of options for you to choose from when it comes to your Mustangs wheels. Depending on whether you bought the GT, V6, or the Convertible you got to choose from 6 different styles. The rim sizes to choose from where 16, 17, or 18 inch. Ford made the wheels out of cast aluminum with finishes that included being painted, polished, or chrome. The V6 base model was the only Mustang to get 16 inch wheels. If you upgraded to a premium package you were given a set of 18 inch wheels. Most models came with a 17 inch bullitt wheel. All of the mustang rims for 2008 came in a 5 star style. Here is what they looked like.
The triple white look always turns out nice. I don’t know why more put don’t put white wheels on their Mustangs. It always gets a couple of looks because you do not see that many cars on the road with white wheels. These white mustang wheels are a nice touch.
A really nice video put together by someone who loves their V6 Ford Mustang. You can see from the video that he put a lot of extras on the car to give it a unique look. The grill, spolier, and my favorite…the horn were all replaced. He put a set of bullitt wheels on it and it gives the car a whole new aggressive look. Nice work making your Ford Mustang stick out.
There have been a number of hub caps made for the Ford Mustang over the years. Every year a new style hub cap will come out. It seems as if Ford has made its move away from producing hub caps because they are growing unpopular with car buyers. I mean, who really wants to change a tire, take off the hub cap and then have to be ever so delicate putting it back on. Nobody does. The hub caps were mainly produced for the Mustangs back in the 1960’s to the late 1990’s. More and more they are becoming more of a collectors item. Here are a few of the more common hub caps you will see for your mustang rim.
